  • Good value, Extensive card reader input, Audio connectivity
  • Uninspiring design, Unintuitive to install hard drive
  • If you can live with its bulk, less than stellar looks and rather plain menus, Asus' latest O!Play HD2 media player is one of the most versatile around, stuffed with connectivity and features. It performs well, plays everything without a glitch and – depe...

  • Excellent SD video up-scaling, HD video playback is flawless, Can hold a 3.5 inch HDD internally, USB 3.0 capability makes it future ready, Ability to download Torrents, Remote app to control device from iPhone
  • User interface needs a refresh, Slight stutter visible in fast moving scenes
  • It is not a surprise that the HD Media Player has evolved a lot, from the days of the first gen WD HD and the ASUS O!Play. At a price of Rs 8000, the ASUS O!Play HD2 offers an excellent HD video experience, the ability to hold a 3.5 inch hard drive int...

  • Supports every possible format, 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD, can fit a 3.5" hard drive, very good build quality, remote is easy to use and ergonomic, supports USB 3.0 link for PC transfer
  • A bit expensive, NAS features are a bit limited and don't work well all the time, no YouTube widget, no automatic update for firmware (have to do it manually through pen drive)
  • Asus has put an MRP of Rs.9,900 excluding taxes on the O!Play HD2, which pits it against the Xtreamer. This is not a bad price given its feature support, and now that desktop hard drive prices have fallen, you can easily pick up a 1TB HDD for Rs. 2,80...

  • What does one do with the huge collection of digitized videos and films acquired over the years? That's right: copy all that data into a hard disk or backup on a Blu-ray disc, load it on the PC and watch away. But what if you want to watch those media...
