  • Low weight and slim case, Stiff & high quality aluminum case, Good input devices, Very good application performance, Extremely fast SSD, Very bright screen
  • Few interfaces, Reflective screen, Poor colors, viewing angles, RAM & battery built-in permanently, Short battery life of less than four hours, Very loud during load
  • The Asus Zenbook UX21E-KX008V (RRP 1099€) enters the stage with a bang. The application performance is very good thanks to a fast ADATA SSD. Except for the low gaming performance, users won't notice a difference to a conventional desktop or notebook. Quit...

  • Gorgeous good looks, Exceptional build quality, Light as a 2.4lb feather, Top-shelf ultra-low power components, Solid battery life, Great performance
  • No DVI or HDMI output, No backlit keyboard, Key cap travel is a bit shallow, takes getting use to
  • From one point of view, the Asus Zenbook UX21's closest competitor would be the 11-inch Apple MacBook Air. Looking at specifications and features alone, the UX21 lines up quite nicely versus Apple's offering.  In about the same price range (as our machine...

  • Given the lack of any Intel-specific Ultrabook software I'm hesitant to even call this thing an Ultrabook. There's also the fact that, at least in the case of Intel Rapid Start Technology, being more of an Ultrabook in that sense would've been a step back...

  • Abstract:  Intel's new thin-and-light notebooks could change the mobile computing if things go as Intel has planned. The new Ultrabook segment is being shown in force at IDF 2011 and we managed to spend some time with an ASUS UX21 Ultrabook that was lightweigh...

  • Extremely pretty, likely to be a subject of envy amongst colleagues and friends alike, Sandforce SSD drive screams, Sound is great for the form factor, All the way up to Core i7 performance
  • Poor keyboard drops letters frequently, Erratic touchpad, Screen has very shallow vertical viewing angles, Rear of the notebook gets very hot under load
  • For so much promise, the ZenBook UX21 falls tragically short at one of the most important factors: human interaction. The touchpad, screen and keyboard make this one product you'll want to pass by — no matter how pretty it is.

  • Abstract:  For the last few months Intel has been marketing the Ultrabook brand as a fast, sleek and light version of full laptops. Unlike the subpowered and underwhelming "netbook" rage underpowered, Ultrabooks are actually running energy efficient versions of I...

  • We can clearly see the market for a machine like the Zenbook. It's almost as portable as a tablet, it actually runs all the applications that you need to use, It's got instant-on functionality, a long battery life, decent speakers and it can actually play...

  • The Asus Zenbook UX21E-DH52 has some learning to do from its older siblings. It's still a very useful ultrabook that will get you far....

  • Abstract:  Product round-up It took a little while for the production lines to get going, but the first few months of 2012 have seen super-slim Ultrabooks completely outnumbering every other type of desktop or laptop PC coming our way. Intel’s tight definition o...
