This machine is put together really, really well and the attention to detail is phenomenal. Every external screw is hidden from sight, the fans are efficient and almost completely silent, porting from a tiny gap in the rear of the lower lid. From opening
This is an awesome rig saddled with an albatross of a price tag. Even if the limited potential functionality of Chrome OS didn't turn you off, paying $1300-1450 for it probably will. And even given as much time as I spend on the Internet, dropping $1300 o
Again, it depends on what youre looking for in a laptop. Similarly speced Windows 8 Ultrabooks retail for less, and you can pick up a refurbished MBP (or tricked out MBA) for about the same. So if you need a "full-function" workstation or cant stand th...
The slick-looking, Intel-powered Google Chromebook Pixel combines the touch screen support of Windows 8 with the MacBook Pro's high-res Retina display. It also includes three years of free 1TB cloud storage, and has a 4G LTE option
Pricing starts at a lofty $1,299, Web-based Chrome OS requires you to be online to do most tasks, Web apps can't yet compare to most Windows or Mac software, especially for media-centric activities like video
Despite impressive hardware specs and solid industrial design, the Chromebook Pixel’s high price and cloud OS limitations make it impossible to recommend for the vast majority of users.

Abstract: Written by Gadget Examiner Jerry NorfletI love using my laptop with Windows 7 and office built-in. There was a time when I felt the same way about my Desktop computer as well. However, with the advent of Wi-Fi, the internet and reduction in the actual cos...

Comes with 1TB Google Drive subscription for three years, Comes with LTE service (100MB/month), Brilliant screen, Backlit keyboard, Boots and runs quickly, 12 free Gogo Internet passes, Self-updating, Cloud everything
Only four hours battery life, Some reverberations from keyboard and chassis at high volume levels, Aside from the light bar and piano hinge, it's blocky like like a reference model from the mid 2000s, Only 64GB of local storage, No USB 3,0 ports, Internet
The Google Chromebook Pixel (64GB, LTE) is a luxury laptop that needs Internet access to work at its best. If you already use a pricey mutli-GB Verizon 4G LTE data plan and have ready access to power, the Chromebook Pixel makes sense. However, it has som...
Beautifully made, Stunning highres screen, Feels very fast, Chrome OS is maintenancefree, Unexpectedly rich speakers
Expensive, Chrome OS limited, Underwhelming battery life, Easy to get it running warm, Keyboard feels a little dead
Buying Guide 25 best laptops in the world The Google Chromebook Pixel is a £1,049/US$1,299 (around AU$1,264) laptop that enables you to run a web browser and needs a connection to the internet to do much, yet doesn't have a built-in cellular connection. I...

Excellent Design, Amazing Display, Insane Battery Life, Plenty of Ports, USB Type C, Oddles of Processing Power
ChromeOS might not be suited to all users. that's literally the only negative I could come up with (and even then it's not really a negative. )
The Chromebook Pixel is easily one of the coolest things I've tested this year. The machine itself looks damn impressive, but it is the little surprises you encounter while using it that make all the difference because they add up to create one of the bes...
