  • Good exposure and highlight dynamic range, Wellbalanced noise reduction at higher ISOs, Comprehensive imaging feature set, Raw processing noticeably improves image detail, Raw mode saves Raw and JPEG, Efficient HDR mode, Solid build quality, Snappy genera
  • Noticeable luminance noise at base ISO, Some AFinconsistencies at all light levels, Inconsistent flash exposures and redeye effect, No OIS means higher chance of camera shake in low light, Panorama smaller, with more stitching errors, than best in class,
  • The Huawei P9's Leica-badged dual-camera is not a quantum leap for smartphone imaging but produces decent image quality across the ISO range that can be improved further in Raw processing. A partly unusual imaging feature set and full manual control compl...

  • Abstract:  With a DxOMark Mobile score of 80, the Huawei P9's dual 12Mp RGB and monochrome sensors provide solid results. Our tests showed a nice improvement over its predecessor, the P8, which scored 74 overall, with the P9 offering improved autofocus and more cons...

  • Excellent, ergonomic design. The dualcamera system is unique and produces wonderful photos. Decent system performance with a blazing fast fingerprint sensor.
  • EMUI is a heavy, lackluster software skin. Poor GPU performance. No 4K video recording.

  • The biggest problem with the Huawei P9 is the huge fanfare that was made about the partnership with Leica. The resulting camera(s) is very good, and produces some great quality, detailed shots, but a “DSLR in your pocket” this really is not. If you're a...

  • Excellent CPU performance, great at multitasking, all-day battery life, very fun dual-camera system, clear calls, lots of color options, swiping down on the fingerprint sensor pulls down the notification center, runs cool and rarely overheats
  • GPU performance lags behind competition, display isn't great for use with VR headsets, can get scratched and dented easily, not water-resistant, no wireless charging, Prev2 of 2Next
  • The song remains the same for Huawei with the P9. This is a really great phone, and for the everyday user, it's also one of the speediest and most powerful. But, this is priced like something more than an everyday phone, and for that reason, the GPU and d...
