  • Controls are tight and responsive, Set pieces have great visuals with varied environments
  • Gameplay gets repetitive, Character models are ugly, Dialogue is fairly bland, Bosses get recycled and are bullet sponges, Inconsistent checkpoints with no quicksave feature and manual saving disabled in combat or on mission maps

  • This has been a preview of video card performance with Mass Effect: Andromeda. This game can be demanding at "Ultra" settings but reducing the overall quality to "High" seems to help the lower-end video cards quite well. The GTX 1060 and Radeon RX 480 lin...

  • If you can come to terms with Mass Effect: Andromeda's rough edges and embrace its focus on exploring interesting planets and sub-plots above a single epic storyline, there is a substantial and captivating interstellar adventure to be found within...

  • Abstract:  As BioWare's most beloved tent-pole franchise, Mass Effect has always been about maximizing player choice. These games are all third-person RPG space operas, but practically everything else, from the looks and gender of your player character to the romant...

  • Abstract:  A veteran Mass Effect player and a complete novice walk into a bar. This isn't the beginning of a terrible joke: Instead, it's the premise of a conversation between Engadget associate editor Timothy J. Seppala and senior reporter Jessica Conditt, both of...
