  • While, for a brief time, we were unable to discern much difference between the Note 9 and its predecessor, Samsung's latest flagship does offer some decent upgrades; from its improved internals and bigger screen to its new-and-improved S Pen and camera tw...

  • good battery, impressive screen, water resistant, brilliant camera, Bluetooth S Pen, microSD card slot, wireless charging, lasting performance, DeX without the dock, headphone jack
  • only Android 8.1, expensive, very big for hands and pockets, fingerprint scanner should be lower down the back, Bixby still not good enough
  • If you need your phone to be able to do just about anything, the Note 9 is it. It has everything and the kitchen sink wrapped up into a massive powerhouse of a phone. As you might expect that comes with a few compromises, the biggest of which is the sheer...

  • Abstract:  Samsung's Galaxy Note has been the poster child for smartphone excess since the big-handed product series' inception in 2011. Clearly inspiring both Apple's hot iPhone 'Plus' range and the not-so-hot Pencil, when it comes to innovation this latest iterati...

  • Beautiful 6.4-inch Infinity Display, Great camera, even in low-light, Battery and storage last and last
  • Very Expensive, Not much innovation, No HDR video recording
  • The Note 9 is the best smartphone that money can buy. Unfortunately, it's going to take all of your money to buy it (or at least more than you're likely budgeting for a smartphone purchase this year). The iPhone X drove prices to this level, and we complai...

  • Technical hardware leader, 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen is best in the world, New S Pen digital stylus works superbly, Audio is top draw, with Dolby Atmos and UHQ upscaling, Comprehensive Samsung software suite
  • 4,000mAh battery is only competitive, not standout, Bixby AI assistant is still definitely a work in progress, Expensive, even for the entry model
  • The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the best Android smartphone in the world. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 picture now fully viewable, I feel we are left with a device that, without doubt, is the best Android smartphone in the world right now and, technically a...

  • Excellent display, Day-long battery life, Exceptional performance, Strong camera, Useful, fun S Pen features
  • No Android 9.0 Pie support, Expensive, Bixby still needs work
  • Yes. If you love big phones — and the S Pen's new functions appeal — you'll be thrilled with the Note 9...

  • Beautiful 6.4-inch Infinity Display, Superb camera, even in low light, Battery and storage last and last, Bluetooth S Pen shortcuts are fun
  • Expensive, A lot of small upgrades, No HDR video recording, We hate the Bixby button

  • The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a big, beautiful phone with top-tier specs, including a massive battery and internal storage that starts at 128GB. The new S Pen doubles as a wireless remote for taking long-distance selfies
  • The Galaxy Note 9 is very expensive, and offers few real innovations over last year's Note 8. The fingerprint reader is uncomfortably close to the camera
  • The ultrapricey Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is one of the year's very best phones, but unless you're in dire need, the smart move is to wait for what the next iPhone, Pixel and even Galaxy S10 bring...

  • The main appeal of the Galaxy Note has always been its huge screen and S Pen stylus, but the latest iteration scores over the Galaxy S9 in a few other ways too – namely a larger battery, a more versatile rear camera and more generous storage space options...
