Complex without being arcane or obscure, SimCity is a great introduction to the genre. Watching a well-planned city run on its own is satisfying and rewarding.
Empty regions make SimCity’s heavy use of multiplayer annoying, and a flicker in Internet connection will lead to lost progress and wasted time. Busy menus are a chore to navigate for the first few hours.
