  • Panorama, lowlight, backlight correction modes; GPS receiver and compass for geotagging; excellent color accuracy and lowlight performance
  • No aperturepriority or shutterpriority modes; geotagging requires software on a Windows PC; images aren't always sharp

  • Quality pictures and excllent results from our tests, good range of features, solid battery life under normal use.
  • Geotagging works, but the function is tethered to your computer, no RAW shooting option, designed for more casual photographers not pros.
  • No doubt about it: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V is a go-to pick for anyone who craves cool-factor extras backed by impressive performance. The DSC-HX5V is neck-and-neck at the top of our latest pocket megazoom cameras chart with the stellar Canon PowerSho...

  • Abstract:  With its 10x optical zoom, HD 1080i movie option, built-in GPS and manual exposure control, Sony's high-end 10.2-megapixel HX5V stands out for its feature-laden spec. It's aimed squarely at Panasonic's Travel Zoom (TZ) range and packs a 25-250mm equiva...

  • Speedy shooting performance; compact, lightweight design; plenty of fun, useful features; very good low-light photo quality for a compact camera
  • Soft photos, videos; limited manual controls; GPS can't quickly be powered on and off
  • The Sony Cyber-shot HX5V's technology is stunning, it handles like a dream and it's both responsive and simple to use. That makes its over-smoothed and barely mediocre images screamingly frustrating. Sony needs to tone its noise-reduction software dow...

  • Pluses, 10x zoom, wideangle lens and good quality lens, Sensitivity wellhandled by Exmor R sensor, Full HD video with stereo sound and zoom, Powerful automatic features, Careully constructed
  • Minuses, Low resolution screen with narrow viewing angles, Very limited manual mode, GPS not sensitive enough, Battery life a little short with GPS turned on

  • If the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V was a cellphone it would have been one of today’s feature rich smartphones. There are an incredible amount of cool features to discover on this camera, not the least of which being its GPS geo-tagging capabilities, a coo...

  • Fantastisk vidvinkel, Klarar 10 bilder per sekund,
  • Känns plastig, lite för mjuka bilder, skärmen har dålig upplösning
