The editors liked

The editors didn't like

  • Abstract:  After the X-Mas rush AMD was keen to introduce a few new CPUs. The flagship Phenom II X6 is now clocked at 3.3GHz, Turbo goes up to 3.7GHz, and it still has 64kB of L1 cache per dice for data and instructions, 512kB L2 cache per dice and 6MB shared 3rd...

  • Yes, the AMD speed bumps are here again. In what has almost become a bi-monthly tradition, we're starting to take the company's increasing clock rates and seemingly-static price tags for granted. Unfortunately, we can only overclock our Phenom II X6 1...

  • So there you have it. AMD’s new flagship CPU is able to mostly keep pace with (and sometimes slip past) Intel’s top LGA1156 CPU. Normally this would get a recommendation, but it just isn’t the case this time. Why? Bulldozer and Sandy Bridge are com...

  • There are some good news about the new Phenom II X6 1100T. It comes with the same price tag the Phenom II X6 1090T used to carry, meaning that AMD dropped the price for all the other six-core CPUs they have. The second thing really good about this CPU ...

  • Abstract:  Back in the early days of personal computing, manufacturers realized that in order for the dream of having a PC in every household to become a reality, the price of a system must be affordable and within reach of the average consumer. One of the conce...

  • Final Words & Conclusion The conclusion on AMD's six-core processors tend to get a little repetitive, but yeah... they surely do offer a lot of value for money. Despite being a minor speed bump over the 1090T for the money you really can't go wrong h...

  • The Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition does little to improve upon the performance of AMD's hexa-core CPU series. However, it does help improve the value of these high-end desktop processors by making the 1090T BE model even cheaper. With an MSRP of $29...

  • We can say that the 1100T is of the same breed as the previous X6 chips, but it has more overclocking headroom it appears, and the speeds reachable by Turbo are insane. It wasn't that long ago that AMD chips couldn't touch 4GHz, and grew exponentially ...

  • I'm really pleased with the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T, it's an excellent value for the performance. In fact, the Phenom II X6 1100T is launching at a lower price ($265) than the Phenom II X6 1090T was when it originally came out ($295). The current price...
