  • Thin, portable chassis. Touch display. Affordable. Full-size HDMI output.
  • Not a very strong performer
  • With its tiny chassis, touch screen, and affordable price tag, the Asus VivoBook X202E-BH91T-CB gives users a decent alternative to ultrabooks and tablets, though it can't do much beyond daily computing tasks....

  • Attractive design, Responsive touch-screen display, Includes 32GB of free cloud storage
  • Short battery life, Poor graphics performance
  • The ASUS VivoBook X202E-DH31T is pretty cheap for a touch-screen Windows 8 machine, but this ultraportable lacks staying power....

  • Excellent design, Attractive aesthetics, Smooth, easytouse touchpad, Touchscreen works beautifully, Superb audio system for this formfactor and pricepoint, Handles 1080p highbitrate (<20Mbit/s) content like a breeze, Solid batterylife, Good price ($500 US
  • Performance is lackluster. Singlechannel memory implementation is baffling, Not for beefier games – at all, No IPS display, and it shows, No Gigabit Ethernet, McAfee's trialware is so naggy, you'll be quick to uninstall it

  • Compact size (but not an Ultrabook), Good speakers & sturdy build
  • Sub-par display brightness, Battery life on the low side
  • The Asus VivoBook x202-DH31T is unique, in that it's the perfect notebook for a very specific demographic: the demographic that wants a small, portable, touchscreen laptop for a relatively cheap price. The VivoBook is just $500, which makes it about half...

  • Very low price for a touch-screen Windows 8 laptop, Thin and light, Responsive touch screen
  • Performance and battery life don't match up with pricier ultrabooks, No flash-memory cache to accelerate program launches, Some screen viewing-angle issues
  • It’s not without trade-offs, but this under-three-pound laptop looks like an ultrabook and sports a responsive touch screen. At around $500, it’s one of the best budget Windows 8 machines we’ve seen so far. ...

  • Slim and light with aluminum construction. Windows 8 with touch screen. Low price.
  • Mediocre performance. Short battery life
  • The Asus VivoBook X202E-DH31T budget ultraportable is an affordable alternative to touch ultrabooks, but takes some hits in performance and battery life....

  • The Asus Vivobook X202E is very inexpensive for a touch-screen Windows 8 laptop, and looks and feels like a more high-end system
  • The CPU trades down to a slower model, battery life is unimpressive, and the large touch pad is flaky
  • It's great to see more touch-screen Windows 8 laptops under $600, but note that the Asus X202E requires some compromises in performance and battery life.

  • The VivoBook X202E has a lot of redeeming qualities. Take the exterior, which is blanketed in stylish brushed metal that defies the system's $550 price tag. Those metal pieces are good for more than just Apple-chic looks; they also deserve some of the cr...

  • If you’re in the market for a portable notebook with Windows 8 and a touchscreen display, the Asus VivoBook X202E is one of the cheapest options available, at $530 and up. But despite the relatively low price, it’s a pretty decent laptop which offers a...

  • Abstract:  twitter: @lisagade) Touchscreen Windows 8 laptops with a modicum of style, Intel Core i CPUs and a very portable design don't come cheap. What if you want an ultraportable laptop with a touchscreen but don't have $1,000 or more for the likes of the L...
