The new Dell XPS15z is extremely thin for a midsize laptop, and includes a powerful CPU and midrange GPU, along with a 1080p display and backlit keyboard
It's still not thinner than the 15-inch MacBook Pro, and in our high-end $1,500 configuration, we'd expect longer battery life and a better GPU
For what you get for the price, the XPS 15z is a compelling mainstream laptop....
Allmetal, semiunibody chassis; Streamlined, less than 1in thick; Excellent build quality and great feel; Optional 1080p screen; Powerful, wellrounded specification
No Bluray drive; Noisy under load; Not user upgradeable; Nonreplaceable battery
Poor keyboard, Tacky design, USB ports only on one side
If it had a better design and a more comfortable keyboard, the Dell XPS 15z would be close to awesome. As it stands, it's just good. We like its configuration and performance, as well as its Full HD screen and its strong build quality. The XPS 15z is suit...

Great design, great performance, fantastic screen, lots of storage
Keyboard layout, lack of Blu-ray drive,
You get good looks backed up by good design. Superb performance and battery life and a screen that really impresses. There are almost no drawbacks and it's priced to make Mac users jealous. ...
Almost everything, Brilliant screen, Tons of power, Solid and attractive body.
What's to hate?, Slightly shallow keyboard if we must, No Blu-ray
Value for money, power, build quality and performance, Dell's XPS 15z is a stunning laptop

Abstract: A big laptop with plenty of power, plus the style and battery-life to make a surprisingly strong all-rounder As if Dell’s XPS 15 weren’t desirable enough already, it’s now joined by the sporty 15z. As well as upgraded internals, the whole design has re...
