The editors liked

The editors didn't like

  • The LG Optimus 3D is a solid performer. Everything on the phone is buttery smooth and instant, you’ll barely wait for it to do things. If only if would ship with Gingerbread and a larger battery to make it through the day. Gingerbread might arrive soo...

  • Abstract:  We’ve seen seen some interesting hardware from LG over the past six months. From the Optimus 2X -- the first dual-core Tegra 2 smartphone -- to the ultra-slim Optimus Black with its impressive NOVA display, the Korean manufacturer has proven it’s ready...

  • All told, the Optimus 3D is a perfectly serviceable, largely inoffensive smartphone that just so happens to possess 3D capabilities. Like the idiot savant math whiz, or the high school phenom with a poisonous crossover, LG's latest creation occasionally s...

  • The LG Optimus 3D is a powerhouse phone—whether you take its 3D features into consideration or not. But my opinion of 3D on the small screen remains more or less the same: Though it is fun to watch short videos in 3D or to take 3D photos, 3D is still...

  • 3D is fun, Extremely snappy, fluid navigation, Great browser
  • Battery struggles to last a day, Bulky, Disappointing camera performance in 2D
  • When it comes to the battery life, the huge 4.3-inch screen is a key factor squeezing all 1500mAh of juice by the end of the day with moderate use. Actually, when in stand-by mode the battery drain is not that noticeable, but just after lighting up, th...

  • Attractive design, 3D games are fun
  • LG's Android user interface is a bit clunky, Sometimes 3D can hurt your eyes

  • Abstract:  Sponsored links, if any, appear in green. The LG Optimus 3D was the first Android smartphone to be launched that had 3D video and still photo capability, as well as a 4.3-inch 3D display that requires no special glasses. The device also features a dual...

  • On the side of the LG Optimus 3D is a little button marked ‘3D' in the place where you'd normally expect to find a camera shutter key, Press and hold this and the phone will fire up a 3D launcher a rotating seethrough carousel of icons that act as shortc
  • While the 3D games are good (very good in fact) we found it harder to get our eyes to adjust to clips on the 3D YouTube channel.

  • As a "regular" phone, the Optimus 3D is great.  The software on our version needs a little work, but as we mentioned, it's all pre-release.  LG's new UI is very well done, and while a bit of a data hog (aren't they all) it provides access to everything a...
