The editors liked

The editors didn't like

  • 3D elements are better than we expected. Screen is bright with good viewing angles. Camera takes nice photos
  • Its design won't excite. Frequent minor processing and animation lag. 3D viewing angle is extremely acute
  • The 3D gimmick works better than expected, but for a phone that promised word-beating performance, we did see more lag than we'd have liked, and it has average battery life to boot....

  • Abstract:  Here’s what you need to know about LG’s Optimus 3D Android mobile: It’s a fine phone, except for the 3-D part. One of the first glasses-free 3-D handsets to come to Canada (another is HTC’s Evo 3D), the black, curvy-edged Optimus features a parallax bar...

  • There is no doubt the Optimus 3D is a good device. It is packed full of technology, features a large vibrant screen and supports 3D technology. It's not overly heavy, good to use in the hand and easy to type on. Unfortunately, the main downside to this de...

  • Abstract:  The LG Optimus 3D isn€t the first gadget with a 3D screen that doesn€t require glasses, but it is the first phone and, as such, the first 3D device you€ll carry everywhere.€Nintendo has been receiving criticism over its screen, so LG is likely to find its...

  • LG's Optimus P920 offers a glimpse of what's to come for consumer technology, but 3D is still far from mainstream. If you don't already have a second 3D playback device, you may find yourself quickly tiring of the functionality when used only with YouT...

  • Abstract:  0There isn’t normally a huge amount of hype surrounding an LG smartphone launch. The company isn’t well known for high end devices, and is often overshadowed by other companies such as HTC and Samsung. With the launch of the Optimus 3D, however, all ey...

  • Abstract:  While the jury is still out over the success of 3D technology there is no denying it is here to stay. Keen to jump on the bandwagon is LG who have developed one of the first smartphones to incorporate a glasses free 3D display, but the question is does it...

  • Abstract:  It's not often we encounter a smartphone with a genuine unique selling point, but the LG Optimus 3D is one of them. As it's name suggests it is a device with 3D functionality, the first of its kind to have made its way to the UK. 3D has been embraced by t...

  • Big screen; good features; some 3D elements work well,
  • Only runs Android 2.2; Poor battery life.
  • The LG Optimus 3D is a large handset with a great screen. It has good all round features, and the 3D element some will see as an added bonus. Using it does drain the battery quickly though. ...
